Is there a Dumpster Gang demo?
No. There is no demo, no playtest and no beta, and nothing has been announced about any of the three.
What is actually available right now
Three things, all of them free and none of them playable. You can wishlist and follow the game on Steam, join the developers’ Discord, and sign up for a mailing list on the official site. The developers asked for wishlists directly in their announcement post, noting it helps a team of their size.
A demo would have to exist as its own app attached to the store record, and there is no such app. That is a hard check rather than an interpretation: if a demo existed, the store page would show a button for it.
Why one might still turn up
Games in this shape often demo well: a co-op sandbox is easy to sample in twenty minutes, and Steam’s seasonal festivals exist to put unreleased games in front of people who might wishlist them. A December release leaves calendar room for one.
