This is the row people get wrong, and it is not their fault. The announcement is headlined Xbox, it went out on Xbox Wire, it happened during an Xbox broadcast, and the game has a Microsoft Store listing. Every instinct says console. The text says PC: the game is releasing for Xbox PC and arrives day one on PC Game Pass.

Xbox on PC means the Xbox app on Windows. It is a second storefront alongside Steam, not a second machine. If you have PC Game Pass you will be able to play it at launch without buying it. If you have Game Pass Ultimate, that includes the PC tier. If you have a Series X, a Series S or an Xbox One and nothing else, nothing has been announced for you.

That distinction is easy to lose in aggregation. Several outlets covering the reveal wrote it up as coming to Xbox, and a reader skimming a headline reasonably concludes their console is getting it. Until Microsoft or Curve Games says the word console, the accurate statement is that it is a PC release on two PC stores.
