Why that is the answer

But the developer has addressed the subject: asked in the Steam forum about crossplay with friends on PS5 and Xbox, they replied that the team is fully focused on PC development for now, and would share news about other platforms if and when they have it. That is not a PS5 announcement — it is a statement that consoles are not part of the December release, with the door left open afterwards.
There is nothing to report, and that is the finding. No PlayStation Store page, no PS5 logo on the announcement, no mention in the Xbox Wire piece or on the official site, and no comment from the publisher about other platforms at all.
The reason people keep asking is reasonable: this genre usually reaches consoles eventually. But that is a general expectation about the genre, not information about this game, and the gap between the two is exactly where invented release dates come from.
