Where everything here comes from

Six records, all of them first-party or storefront. No fact about the game is sourced to another fan site or a rumour, and where none of these six answers a question, the site says so. One page is a deliberate exception and labels itself as one: the comparison to Gang Beasts on games like Dumpster Gang exists because search engines keep pairing the two, and it says so on the page.

  • Steam store record, appid 2870790

    Storefront

    Supports: Release window, developer and publisher names, the 1-4 player count, store categories including online co-op, supported interface languages, genre tags, screenshots and the full feature description.

    Does not support: It carries no price and no achievement list. Its minimum specification publishes exactly one requirement, a 64-bit processor and operating system, and leaves OS, processor, memory, graphics, storage and sound card as TBC.

  • Xbox Wire announcement, 27 August 2026

    First-party

    Supports: Xbox on PC as a platform, day-one PC Game Pass, the Gamescom 2026 reveal on 27 August, the studio background including Midnight Ghost Hunt, and direct quotes from both developers about hats and the hideout.

    Does not support: It never names an Xbox console, a PlayStation, or a Nintendo platform, and it gives no date inside December.

    Supports: The December 2026 window in the developers' own words — the post is headlined with it — plus the reveal trailer and the Discord invite. It is also the earliest of the two announcement dates: 26 August, a day before the Gamescom reveal went out on Xbox Wire.

    Does not support: It gives no specific day inside December, no price, and no platform detail beyond PC.

    First-party

    Supports: Feature framing for traversal, the Exterminator, the campfire hub and four-player co-op, plus the full list of official channels.

    Does not support: It has no store data: no price, no date, no specification.

  • Microsoft Store listing

    Storefront

    Supports: The existence of an Xbox-on-PC listing, with Curve Games and Coyote House Games named, and — in its structured data — the only capability list and age rating anywhere: "Online multiplayer (2-4)", "Single player", and ESRB EVERYONE 10+. Its platform field reads PC.

    Does not support: It is the PC listing. There is no console SKU on it, and no price.

    Supports: The exact titles and channels of both copies of the reveal trailer.

    Does not support: It gives no view count or runtime that this site would quote, deliberately.

How this site handles a gap

When none of the six records answers something, the page says it is not announced and, where possible, says where the answer would appear first. It does not estimate, and it does not repeat a figure it found on another site.

That is a deliberately narrow rule and it costs the site pages. There is no tier list here, no codes page, no predicted release date, because none of those can be built from the sources above. Everything on dumpstergang.online is either in one of these records or labelled as absent from all of them.

Facts were read from these records on 31 August 2026. Two announcement dates matter and the site keeps them apart: the developers posted to Steam on 26 August, and the Gamescom reveal went out on Xbox Wire on 27 August. If you spot something here that the record no longer says, that is a bug — tell us and it gets fixed.
