Why that is the answer
Dumpster Gang has had a Steam store record since before the announcement, and the store lists Windows as the only supported operating system. It is the most concrete platform commitment the game has.
The Steam page is the oldest public thing about this game. It carried an appid before the announcement, which is why it turned up in search results with almost nothing on it, and it is now the fullest description of the game anywhere: five feature blocks, nine screenshots and a set of short clips covering traversal, co-op, the Exterminator chase and the hideout.
What the page does not have is as informative as what it does. There is no price. The minimum specification publishes exactly one line, "Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system", and leaves OS, processor, memory, graphics, storage and sound card as TBC. There are no achievements listed. Interface languages are English and Simplified Chinese, and nothing else, which is a small but real signal about how far localisation has got.
The store record lists Windows only. No macOS, no Linux, no Steam Deck verification status, which is unsurprising this far out but does mean anyone claiming Deck support is guessing.
