Who we are
Dumpster Gang HQ is an independent, fan-made reference site about the game Dumpster Gang. This policy covers dumpstergang.online.
What we collect directly
Nothing. There are no accounts, no logins, no comment system, no newsletter form and no contact form on this site. It is a set of static pages served from a CDN, so there is no server here that could store anything about you even if it wanted to.
Analytics
Two third-party tools are loaded so we can see which pages are useful and where people get stuck. Both set cookies or use similar browser storage.
- Google Analytics 4 reports which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what kind of device it was, and which site or search engine referred you. To do that it assigns your browser a random identifier and sends that data to Google, so while we never upload names, emails or anything you type, the data Google receives is not purely anonymous. It is configured with a property dedicated to this site alone, and we do not use it to identify individuals.
- Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used — scrolling, clicks, and a replay of the session so we can see where a page confuses people. Those recordings go to Microsoft, which processes them as a joint controller of that data. Clarity runs in its default masking mode, which hides text it classifies as sensitive rather than every word on the page; since this site has no forms, no login and no field to type into, there is nothing here for you to enter that could be captured. We do not use it to work out who you are. Microsoft describes what it captures in its own privacy statement.
Both load as soon as a page opens; this site does not show a consent banner, and it does not ask permission before loading them. Both can be blocked with any standard content blocker and the site works identically with them blocked — nothing here is gated behind analytics loading.
Cookies and advertising
This site runs no advertising and no advertising cookies. The only browser storage it uses on its own behalf is a single value remembering whether you chose the light or dark theme, which stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere. Beyond that, the cookies present are the ones the two analytics tools above set.
Embedded video
Trailer embeds do not load the YouTube player until you click play. They do load a still image from i.ytimg.com, which is a Google-operated domain, so viewing a page with a trailer on it does make one image request to Google even if you never press play. Pressing play loads the player from YouTube’s no-cookie domain, and from that point YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
What we never do
- Sell visitor data, or share it with anyone beyond the two analytics providers named above.
- Build profiles of individual visitors.
- Ask for your email, name or any other personal detail.
- Run retargeting or advertising pixels.
Your choices
Use a content blocker or your browser’s tracking protection and both analytics tools stop loading. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. Clearing site data in your browser removes the theme preference and the analytics cookies.
Changes
If this site ever adds advertising, a contact form, or any other tool that handles visitor data, this page changes at the same time. The date at the top reflects the last revision.
